Dell hopes Malaysian government retains business friendly policies

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Dell Inc, a global information technology (IT) integrated solutions provider, hopes the Malaysian government will continue to retain its business-friendly policies thus ensuring continuous growth for businesses in the country.

Dell president for global consumer, small & medium business, Steve Felice, said the Malaysian government was very entrepreneurial and an enabler to businesses.

"They always work as partners with businesses," he said in an interview on the sideline of the 11th Forbes Global CEO Conference here today.

He said Malaysia was an important investment destination for Dell where it currently employed about 4,500 people in Malaysia including in various facilities including its state-of-the-art data centre in Cyberjaya.

Felice said the company has grown well here, starting with just a manufacturing complex in Penang for software development and provider in line with its global strategy.

"We do a lot of global work and IT work out of Malaysia. We'll continue to think this country as a great place to be and we'll continue to grow here," he said.
