Bank Rakyat Expect Better First Quarter Results

MUAR, April 17 (Bernama) -- Bank Rakyat is expectinga  better performance in its firstquarter results this year when compared to the corresponding period last yearas the economy is showing signs of recovery.

The bank's financial position is still strong and able toprovide financing especially to traders, small businesses and Class Fcontractors, although the economic situation is still uncertain, said itsmanaging director, Datuk Kamaruzaman Che Mat.

Bank Rakyat have enough funds to provide financing torural economy, micro credit and financing to Class F contractors as well asthose who need financing, he told reporters after presenting tithe andfinancial assistance in conjunction with Bank Rakyat Carnival here Saturday.

The bank will be announcing its first quarter results atthe end of this month.-- BERNAMA
